G.I.V.E. Member Event: All Things Possible with The GROOVE MACHINE band

All Things Possible is presenting a family night of fun, food, and music September 23, 2023. Our goal is at least $40,000 – the cost of a pre-owned wheelchair van. Corporate and individual sponsorships range from $40,000 – $100. We also need raffle items valued at $100 (and up). Please help us change a family’s life today! 

Event Highlights:

• Groove Machine band will be playing popular cover songs of the 70’s all evening. There are 9 band members including a horn section that is amazing.
• Raffle Drawing (values of $100 and up)
• A 3.5-acre farm pond with fountains, beavers, turtles and ducks.
• A playground for the kiddos.
• Cornhole boards available for your enjoyment.
• At the indoor marketplace you can buy snacks, beverages, ice cream, and more in support of local makers, artisans, and small businesses in the community.
• Two different Food Trucks will be on site.
• Beverages for purchase include beer, wine, coffee drinks, soft drinks, and bottled water.
• Plenty of free parking, including a designated wheelchair accessible area for those with handicap placards.

Medical insurance or Medicaid will not cover the cost of a wheelchair van. Our mission is to purchase and gift wheelchair accessible vans to transport disabled individuals safely to medical/ therapy appointments and expand their world beyond a hospital bed in their home.

Kawliga (first picture) could not take his powered wheelchair beyond his home. He missed out on many school activities. Even going to the store with his mom was a chore. Since receiving a wheelchair van from All Things Possible, he is involved in more school activities, visited out-of-town family, and according to his dad, his power wheelchair has traveled over 200-miles since receiving their van in 2021.

Each one of these pictures has a similar story and we are committed to presenting at least 10 families per year with a pre-owned wheelchair van. These used vans average approximately $38,000 – $40,000 each; a new wheelchair van costs over $90,000. These families have lost hope in ever buying a wheelchair van. But the community came together and proved that all things really ARE possible.
