Our G.I.V.E. Mission

To be the conduit, forging connections between our 150+ NBG members and the local nonprofit organizations serving the diverse needs of Charlotte, NC.

We are committed to extending beyond immediate impact. By elevating awareness and building lasting relationships, we aim to create a ripple effect of positive change—ultimately enhancing the fabric of our beloved Queen City.

What It Means to G.I.V.E.

These guiding principles define the heart of this group and how we show up together:

  • G – Generosity
We offer our time, expertise, and resources with open hands and open hearts.

  • I – Impact
We amplify impact by bringing others in—whether to events, causes, or conversations.

  • V – Volunteer Engagement
We prioritize real relationships and authentic engagement—because trust builds community, and community creates change.

  • E – Education
We focus on strengthening community relations and opening new opportunities for collaboration.

How We Implement the Mission

Within the NBG community, the G.I.V.E. group helps carry out this mission in two main ways:

  1. Quarterly Nonprofit Spotlight
Each quarter, we spotlight a Charlotte-based nonprofit (not nationally affiliated) and organize a focused effort to support them. This may include donation drives, service projects, resource connections, or awareness campaigns—based on what the nonprofit needs most.
  1. Quarterly G.I.V.E. & Gather Events
These in-person events bring together NBG members and local nonprofit leaders for panel discussions, small group conversations, and networking. They’re designed to foster mutual learning, strengthen community relationships, and uncover new opportunities for collaboration—all in a no-solicitation, relationship-first environment.

If you would like to nominate a nonprofit you are involved with to be spotlighted for an entire quarter - please use this link or scan the QR code to submit them for consideration.

When you nominate a nonprofit please know that you will be asked to ‘spearhead’ the initiative with the G.I.V.E. Hosts.

This will include being a liaison between NBG and the nonprofit., being at the 3 Signature Events during the quarter, taking a leadership role at the event or for the collection/donation service project, and other activities

If you want NBG to place an event being held by a nonprofit you are involved with onto our calendar, and blast on our social media...please let us know via this link or QR code.

We are happy to bring more awareness and attention to your event. We will place it on the main NBG Calendar once approved and post on our social media channels.

Once you submit the event we will send you details on what you can expect from us and what you will be asked to take care of.
