2 Extra Weeks for YOU!

What would you do if someone gave you 15 more days in the year?  How would those extra days be used to improve your life or change your business?

Would be pretty great – right!?! 

I could write that book, change over my accounting and get it caught up, revamp that course I have been meaning to do, and on and on…

Truth Bomb:  We do have, in our control, those 15 extra days. 

On average Americans spend 3-4 hours every day watching TV or scrolling social media.  But lets, for the sake of argument, say that’s not you and me.  Let’s average our TV/Social Media time to just 1 hour per day. 

That is 365 hours per year.

That is 15 days!  That is ½ a month. 2 FULL WEEKS!  Imagine what we could get done with 2 weeks of dedicated time on our businesses.

WOW.

Let that sink in.

Now, I am not saying you should never watch TV.  Rodger knows I love my Hallmark Movie time.  It’s one way I ‘check-out’ for a bit (I think it used to be called veg-out back in the day).

Here are the facts…

We all have limited time, and we all have limited money.  AND we all would love more of both!

It has been said that you can’t buy time.  I beg to differ.  You can!  You can hire tasks out…which then gives you more time.  But maybe you don’t feel you have the money. 

On the other hand, if you had that extra time, you could probably meet with more potential clients, close more deals, and have the money to hire out those tasks.  HUMMM….dilemma.

Let’s break it down.

If you spend the majority of your time (75% or above) doing processes, admin, marketing, content creation, and back-office stuff and only a minimal amount of time with people making contacts, following up, doing sales calls and closing deals, then your growth will be slow at best.

So in order to free up your time so you can make more sales you need to define what you are worth and what the tasks you do are worth.  Then get people that are better and faster than you to do those time-consuming, non-income-producing tasks that do not require YOU and your personal touch to complete.

Make a list of EVERYTHING you do.  Assign it a price tag.  Is it a $10/hour task or a $50/hour task?  Is it something only YOU can do (be objective).  Which tasks take you the most time?  Which tasks bring you opportunities?

Determine how many sales you will need to cover the expense of hiring someone to do a few of those low price per hour, non-opportunity tasks.  If it is one sale, and one sale generally takes you less time then the tasks you are contemplating – that is a done deal!  You will break even at least.

That’s OK! If you are not ready to give up that control, or not ready to take a chance on the ROI of hiring a VA or Assistant….

You could just simply reduce the TV/Social Media days we all spend in a year – 15 days seems to be the minimum here in America.  Cut back on that binge watching or habitual scrolling.

Then use your new found time wisely to further increase production and profit.
